my artistic inspiration

Salvador Dali, Swans Reflecting Elephants (1937) -one of my favorite surrealists because of his use of colors, and his interesting somewhat twisted content and illusions.

Salvador Dali, The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory (1954)
Mick Rock, Bowie With Black Scarf (2001) - my favorite photographer because of his documentary style and great portraits. generally famous musicians, he chose to photograph some movie casts ("the rocky horror picture show").

Phillipe Halsman, Dali Atomicus (1948) - halsman's work in photography amazed me from when i first saw this dali portrait. originally milk was meant to spray across the picture, but soon they realized it would be difficult to see dali behind the entire scene. his work is absurd enough to interest me.

Phillipe Halsman, In Voluptate Mors (1951)

M.C. Escher, Drawing Hands (1948) - one of the best illusionary artists in the world. the hands, as well as the labyrinth picture are brilliant black and white images that never cease to amaze me.

Phil Hansen, Jimi Hendrix (2007) - phil hansen is a current artist out of minneapolis. his works generally include famous or infamous people and one other element. his other works include mother teresa made from dandelions, kim jong il painted from blood on bandaids, and more. i like that he's very documentary and explains his reasons behind is projects.
